I've had so much fun the last week!
Being on-air everyday has been great. And today proved why it's so much fun. I did a contest where I had to promote the new FOX TV show New Girl. When giving away the prize, it was brought up that one of the characters on the show disappeared after the first episode, but neither of us knew why.
Then I got a call from someone that did. She realized the actor that played the part of Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.) was also on another new show that got a surprise pick-up for a second season (ABC's Happy Endings).
That's the fun thing about live radio - the interaction with everyone listening. I miss that everyday.
But I'm kept busy behind the scenes programming The Lake (aka Entercom's national Subterranean HD2 station), scheduling WWWS-AM, helping Rob program Star, and doing a bunch of other stuff involving our traffic / commercials department and computer programming. But I'm always looking forward to the next chance to fill in again.
I can't wait until the next chance to fill in! As always, I'll make sure I have tons of weird stories about reality shows, crazy food, and Star artist strangeness ready to go. For now, that'll be the basis of what I share with you on my weekend shifts. :)

Black Friday 2011!
Many stores (including Target, Best Buy, and Kohl's) will be opening at midnight this year!
In a way, I guess this is better than the 4am openings. Now you can do your holiday shopping Thanksgiving night before going to sleep. That'll give you all of Friday morning to relax.

Vote for Ashley H!
Ashley is trying out to be the next CW Star for Buffalo. And she needs your votes!
She worked at Borders up until the entire company totally died. So she's looking for a job.
And she's absolutely got the personality for this. She was even upbeat when we all had to be at the store at 6am to change the sale signs every week.
In addition, she's one of my favorite people. At the very end of Borders, she got me the most awesome souvenir from the store - an actual piece of the store (no further comment here on that lol).
