Teen Angel (1997, ABC) - A teenager eats a six-month old hamburger, dies, and ends up a guardian angel to his best friend. Can't get much stranger than that. Here's a clip from the show. It's the best I could find.
I Married Dora (1987, ABC) - A guy marries his housekeeper to keep her from being deported. The series ended with the series being cancelled. Really. It was actually written into the storyline of the final episode that the show was cancelled. Here's the opening credits from the show.
