Where was Shannon on Lost?

The producers of Lost didn't even try to hide the fact that Maggie Grace, the actress who played Shannon, wasn't there. No shots of someone from the back who looks like her or shots from far away of someone that might be her but isn't. Nope, nothing. Just Boone saying she was mad at him.

Kristin at E! found a source that says Maggie was asked to return. The only excuse the source gave for Maggie not going back to Lost is that she had just finished filming three movies in a row. But that's from the source, not the actress.

Maybe she just wanted more money than they wanted to give. Maybe she's busy with another project. Maybe she really is taking a break after filming all those movies. Or maybe she's become angry over the years that she was killed off the series.

Until she actually says something to the media herself, it's all speculation. But I hope she changes her mind and returns before the final episode is filmed.

As for Michael and Walt, another post from Kristin says that Harold Perrineau, who played Michael, was not even asked back (and this was from Harold himself).

As for Walt (played by Malcolm David Kelly), Harold offers the best explanation saying that he's grown up so much, it would have been difficult pulling that off.

If you haven't seen last night's two-part season premiere, then the following definitely contains SPOILERS.

Here's my thoughts on last night's two episodes - I thought both were great. The show is back to where it should be.

My theory for the end came to me when Juliet's very important final words ("it worked") were revealed.

Remember when Juliet was about to die and was rambling about "I'll buy you a coffee" to James / Sawyer and he had to remind her who he was. After that, she snapped back to the moment. But I think that's something she's going to say to him back in the real world where the plane never crashed. Maybe at one point he saves her from walking in front of a taxi or saves her from tripping or something and that'll be something she says to him then.

That would mean she's no longer on the island either then. But it could happen at any future time in that reality.

That would also explain the "it worked". Jack's plan did in fact work and made the true reality the one where the plane never crashes. The rest is now just an alternate reality that in the long run won't exist at all.

Just my thoughts. Watch - it'll all crash and burn within the first five minutes of next week's episode. But that's the fun of Lost (when it's at its best) - you never really know where it's going.
