The movie I've been waiting over a year to see has finally made it to Buffalo thanks to Dipson Theatres!
This was an absolutely amazing movie! But very, very bleak from start to finish. If you're looking for a movie you'll laugh all the way through, this isn't it. I can't quite say it's a feel good movie either, but it definitely does make you feel better about your life after seeing it, that's for sure.
Without revealing any spoilers, it's the story about a man and boy traveling down a road trying to survive in a world that's dying. Even though the premise of the world dying is sci-fi, the movie isn't. The movie revolves around their survival attempt and the good and bad that come out of people in survival situations.
I have nothing but praise for this movie. Every single actor is perfectly cast and the story is flawlessly written. The movie is based on the 2006 Cormac McCarthy book of the same name, which was also an Oprah book club selection at one point.
I'll definitely buy this when it comes out on DVD. But for now, don't miss seeing the amazing (and yet depressing) scenery on the big screen!
Here's the Fandango link to the movie times at the Dipson Amherst Theatre and the Dipson McKinley Mall 6 Theatre.
And here's the movie preview...
