As usual, Starry Night In The Garden was an amazing night of concerts. And despite the look of the sky, the night ended up being perfect just as Kevin O'Connell said it would be.
This year, I got to interview Alex Band and Collective Soul's Ed Roland and Joel Kosche.
Here's the links to the interviews I did (along with links to buy their latest CDs)...

The Ottawa Earthquake That Shook Buffalo...

Here's some of the links for the 5.5 earthquake which happened about 30 miles from Ottawa, Ontario...
The US Geological Survey website
Fox News report on the earthquake
A website devoted to Ottawa earthquakes (apparently Ottawa gets quite a few, but they're usually too small to notice)
WBEN.com (constantly updated with new details)
And here's video of a press conference in Ottawa that was interrupted by the earthquake...
Downfall game show review...
The game itself isn't bad, but even before the hour was up I'd already grown bored with the concept.
The funniest part - the audience's reactions. They were not happy to be there. I'm guessing this episode took forever to tape which would cause that reaction. Plus they were probably wondering what would happen if an earthquake hit while they were up there.
As for all the falling stuff, I think that was actually a distraction from the game. Which is too bad since that's what the whole show is based on.
I do like that the contestants get to keep shouting out answers until they get the right one - that was different. The host and the first two contestants were good too.
And one other good thing about Downfall - they didn't use the horrible ABC voiceover guy that was in the promos leading up to it. I don't know where ABC found that guy, but he's the worst. Maybe they realize that too, since this is the only show I've heard him do a promo for so far.
Overall, an okay show but it's already getting old. ABC never should have cancelled I Survived A Japanese Game Show - in the long run, that was a far better companion to Wipeout than this.
As for the ratings, they weren't that great. It was about even with what I Survived A Japanese Game Show did. But I'm guessing now that the curiosity factor is over, the ratings will plummet next week.

The Smurfs movie trailer...
Here's the first look at next year's Smurf movie.
It sounded like a great idea for a movie - until I saw the trailer.
The Smurfs in New York City?! This looks awful. Which of course means it will be a giant hit...

a-ha's Latest Single...
It's called Butterfly, Butterfly (The Last Hurrah) and premiered online this morning.
It's typical a-ha, which means it's brilliant. And even though it's subtitled "The Last Hurrah", this may not be the final single from a-ha. Their tour wraps up in December and they have a career-spanning compilation called "25" on the way. It's possible there might be yet another new song before the end of the year.
This latest single will be available on the "25" double-CD compilation on July 19th. It will also be available to buy digitally on July 5th in Norway (while I really doubt it'll be on iTunes in the US that day or the next, it can't hurt to check).

Your Face In Space - FREE!
A while back, NASA gathered up names and sent them on a microchip in their Lunar Reconnaissance spacecraft.
Now they want to send your picture on a trip into space!
Your face will go up to space on either the Discovery space shuttle in September or the Endeavour space shuttle in November.
Once it returns, you can print up your Flight Certificate - all of this FREE.
So find that perfect picture, upload it to NASA, and get ready to (kind of) visit space.
Sign up and upload your picture at NASA's Face In Space website.
You must be 13 or older to participate, but parents can send in a picture for anyone under 13. And I couldn't find the date this will end, but I would imagine it's soon so rush that picture into them.

WARNING: After your face goes into space, be wary of mysterious lights in the sky at night. Something out there might fall in love and then come here to visit you.

Celine Dion's waterpark...
Don't plan a road trip to it just yet. You'll first need the invite from Celine herself. That's because the waterpark is in her Florida mansion's backyard!
There's a giant pool, a water slide, and a lazy river! I am so jealous.
Here's the pictures of the waterpark that TMZ somehow got.
I couldn't resist including some of Celine Dion's water-related videos.

Aliens!
There might be aliens living in our solar system! And they'd be nothing even remotely like human beings, so don't be surprised if something strange comes up to you and says hi when visiting Saturn's largest moon Titan.
This according to a recent article which is based on findings from NASA's Cassini spacecraft. Some scientists are extremely excited by all this.
But NASA scientists are being more cautious. And with good reason - the new life form is methane-based, something that's only hypothetical right now. But it's a step closer to aliens in my book!
Here's the full article from AOL News.
To celebrate this, here's a recent alien video from Hannah that makes me smile. And it appears it might even be based on Titan...

Wipeout on ABC...
I love this show. The big balls obstacle never gets old! And I especially love the spinning challenges.
After watching the show, you'd think the set was massive. But it's not. Check out this aeriel view - the picture proves that the camerawork on that show is amazing.
See new episodes of Wipeout Tuesday nights at 8pm starting June 22nd on ABC.
